Are you an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Developer looking for an opportunity to make a real impact?
We're looking for a talented Dynamics 365 CRM Developer (Mid/Senior) to join our IT Operations CRM Team. You'll play a key role in developing, enhancing and supporting our Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform and wider Microsoft technology stack.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of technical development projects, deliver innovative solutions and work closely with business and technical stakeholders to ensure our CRM technology continues to evolve in line with organisational needs.
You'll be involved throughout the development lifecycle, from solution design and configuration through to integration, testing, deployment and ongoing support. You'll also help modernise legacy CRM functionality, improve platform performance and ensure solutions are secure, scalable and built to best practice.
If you enjoy solving complex technical challenges, developing effective solutions and taking responsibility for delivering high-quality outcomes, we'd love to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing:
Dynamics 365 Development & Configuration
- Design, develop, configure and maintain Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions and Microsoft Dataverse components, including tables, forms, views, business rules, business process flows and security.
- Develop bespoke backend extensions using C#/.NET, including plugins and custom workflow activities.
- Build client-side functionality using JavaScript, HTML and web resources.
- Develop and maintain applications, workflows and portals using Power Apps, Power Automate and Power Pages.
- Ensure all development aligns with coding standards, solution architecture, security requirements and performance best practices.
Integration, Data & Architecture
- Design and deliver integrations between Dynamics 365 and internal or external systems using REST APIs, web services and Azure technologies.
- Work with Azure Functions, Logic Apps and API Management to develop and maintain robust integration solutions.
- Support data migration, ETL activities and data quality initiatives.
- Lead and support the migration of legacy Microsoft Dynamics CRM functionality into the modern Dynamics 365 environment.
Support, Governance & Operations
- Provide second-line technical support, investigating complex incidents, identifying root causes and implementing permanent solutions.
- Manage development releases and source control through Azure DevOps, following established CI/CD and deployment processes.
- Work within Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks, contributing to planning, development and delivery activities.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and ensure development work is properly recorded and governed.
- Collaborate with architects, technical teams, business stakeholders and external development partners to deliver effective solutions.
- Manage your own workload and deliver agreed technical priorities independently.
What you’ll bring:
You'll be an experienced Dynamics 365 developer with a strong technical background and the confidence to take ownership of development activities from initial design through to delivery and support.
- A minimum of six years' hands-on technical development experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Dynamics CRM.
- Strong development skills in C#/.NET, JavaScript, HTML, SQL and Microsoft Dataverse.
- Proven experience developing custom Dynamics 365 plugins, workflow activities, integrations, REST APIs and web resources.
- Practical experience with Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Experience working with Azure DevOps, source control and Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
- A good understanding of legacy CRM environments, system modernisation and migration.
- Experience investigating technical issues, managing support tickets and undertaking root-cause analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the confidence to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and take accountability for delivering high-quality work.
Desirable experience
It would be advantageous if you also have experience in one or more of the following:
- Microsoft Power Pages / Dynamics 365 Portals, including customer-facing web forms.
- Azure integration services, including Azure Functions, Logic Apps and API Management.
- Automated CI/CD deployment pipelines.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Data migration and reporting tools such as SSIS and SSRS.
- Content Management Systems (CMS), particularly Umbraco.
- Working with third-party development partners and technology suppliers.
What you’ll get:
- 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays (pro rata)
- Pension contribution scheme
- Training and development opportunities
- Life assurance scheme
- Dedicated wellness initiatives and wellness hub that supports your wellbeing (including EAP)
